Power Court Stadium is a large scale public realm scheme in the South of England with a mix of residential and commercial mid to high rise buildings adjacent to a new football Stadium. The scheme also included daylighting and enhancement of a culverted river to meet planning requirements from the Environment Agency. The public realm and landscape proposal was made alongside the architectural and stadium plans from an external designer.
The scheme was developed to be a new public centre and an extension of the listed Churchyard Gardens south of the development. The proposed development includes a football stadium which increases the footfall of this area, the public realm was designed to be a holding space capable facilitating large numbers of match day spectators as well as being a welcoming residential and recreational space on quiet weekdays.
I have been involved in the landscape design from concept stages developing detail design studies, scheme visuals, 3D models and CAD plans.
